Group Work Process

In today's lesson we have decided to expand our knowledge by creating a mind map of what our particular genre and style of music is. There are 4 members within my group which include me Charles Mossman, Kieran Winrow, Ian Pelgrave and Anthony Black. In regards to the class we are know as Group 1. From looking at the first mind map image below there is a mixture of different genres within my group. My particular genre of music is based upon indie/pop music however we all have different particular tastes and styles in music which include a mixture of genres including pop,indie, dance and rock.

We have also created another mind map stating our decisions on what particular genre that I and the other members in the group have decided to chose in regards to what genre our music video will be. After looking at the four styles of music genres we have narrowed our decision down by selecting our final style will be indie/pop music genre. We as a group have decided to pick this genre because every member in the group is very familiar with particular artists, music videos and songs within this particular category. Therefore we as a group will be able to construct our research into the genre more confidently and in an effective manner which will contribute into creating a successful music video.

In our chosen genre we have outlined the names and types of songs, music videos, artist, posters and album covers in which our final genre style is based upon. The groups ideas are stated on the second mind map image below.
